-> Subject: Image sequences for Explosions?
->
-> Hi,
->
-> Does anyone know where to find some realistic image-sequences of
-> explosions to use in animations?
-> I know there is a Pyromania CD-rom, but I can't afford that.....
->
-> Hank, Holland
The Pyromania CD-ROM is about US$150 (I think). Most anything else you
would encounter (legally) is going to be more. Grabbing explosion
footage, digitizing it, and using it is copyright infringement and
highly illegal. More to the point, the penalties for it cost more than
Pyromania CD-ROM. More expensive than te CD-ROM, but less than the
fines for infringement, would be "designer explosions" for hire. I
know folks who can do that...but they ain't cheap!
There is a pyrotechnicians' club in the Netherlands. See if you can dig
them up...I don't have any name or address handy at the moment.
